Through The UK Government Department for International Development's (DFID) Engineering Knowledge and Research (EKaR) programme, under the geosciences theme, ConGO ® was awarded a contract to develop the Socially Sustainable Development Strategy (SSDS) to the minerals and energy sectors. The funding associated with this contract finished in October 2003 and ConGO has subsequently committed to maintain this website and continue to develop the SSDS as funds become available.
